Obedient nature at Thy call,

O God of pow'r and might,

The earth and heav'ns, with all their host,

Came forth, and all was right.

God saw His works stand forth complete,

And all was very good;

But man, the highest piece of all,

O'er all the rest then stood.

But soon he sinned, and fell in death,

And lost the good he had;

And none but Jesus Christ can save

The soul, or raise the dead.
