549 (L.M.) Fellowes?

The Word, the Spirit, and the Bride

Must not invite and be denied;

Was not the Lord, who came to save,

Buried in such a liquid grave?

Jesus, my Saviour and my all,

Methinks I hear Thy gentle call;

These are the sounds that chide my stay:

"Arise, my love, and come away."

Ye who your native vileness mourn,

And to the great Redeemer turn,

Who see your wretched state by sin,

Ye blessèd of the Lord, come in.

All ye that love Emmanuel's name,

And long to feel increasing flame,

'Tis you, ye children of the light,

The Spirit and the Bride invite.
