←Hymn #694 | Hymn #696→ |
It doth not yet appear
What we shall be at last;
So we should not be vexed with fear,
But wait 'til death is past.
We only see in part,
In part, can only know;
But when the veil goes from our heart,
Then it will not be so.
Here we look through the gloom
Of sin-beclouded sky;
But when we pass beyond the tomb,
Jesus we'll see on high.
Preserve us, Lord, we pray,
To see Thy glitt'ring bride;
Where, in Thy likeness, all can say,
"Now we are satisfied."
